Assam govt issues fresh guideline for Unlock 3.0, inter-district movement allowed only on Monday, Tuesday
Guwahati/IBNS: The Assam government on Sunday issued fresh guidelines for Unlock 3.0 and allowed inter districts movement for the people on Monday and Tuesday in a week.
The government order also stated that cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, religious functions will remain closed in the state till August 14.
Night curfew across the state will be continued from 6 pm to 6 am.
The new order will come into effect from 7 pm of August 2 and remain valid till 7 pm of August 14.
“Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places of public gathering, social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, religious functions and other large congregations will remain closed,” said in the government order.
The state government has allowed malls and gymnasiums to operate between Monday and Friday on the same side of the street on which other shops are allowed in Kamrup (Metro) district and both sides in case of all other districts.
“Hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services are allowed to function on all days except Saturday and Sunday with maintenance of COVID protocol of social distancing. Inter district movement of people is allowed on Monday and Tuesday only,” said in the government order.
On the other hand, the state government has made compulsory for wearing of face cover in public places, in workplaces and during transport and violation will attract a fine of Rs 1000 for the first offence.
Assam has so far registered 41726 positive cases for COVID-19.
The state has now 10180 active positive cases for the novel Coronavirus.
