Ranchi/UNI: Almost all the districts in the state received uninterrupted spells of rain showers on Thursday due to a low pressure in the Bay of Bengal.

Rains in state capital Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur continued till evening.

Due to the incessant rains roads wore a deserted look.

The MeT department has predicted similar weather conditions in the state on Friday.

The weather department said the districts of East and West Singhbhum, Simdega, Saraikela, Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti and Ramgarh also witnessed rainfall throughout the day.

A report from Jamshedpur said, rainfall began in the city since Wednesday evening with Maango, Sakchi and Bistupur receiving heavy downpour.

A report from Saraikela said the gates of Chandil Dam have been opened due to incessant rains.

The weather department has predicted rains in the last week of August and clear skies after the period in the state.

Meanwhile, the three days of continuous showers has allayed the fears of the farmers as there had been no rains in the previous week.

In the last 24 hours, Monsoon has been within the normal range in the state with light to medium rainfall taking place across the districts.

Jamshedpur City had received maximum rainfall at 54.6 mm.

The city recorded the highest temperature at 33.2 degrees while Chaibasa was the coolest at 22.2 degrees.
