Ranchi/IBNS: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) supremo Shibu Soren and his wife Roopi Soren have tested positive for Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19, media reports said.

The reports of Covid-19 tests came late last evening.

JMM general secretary Binod Pandey said as quoted by Hindustan Times, "I am myself in home quarantine. But, as per our information, Guruji (as Soren is popularly known) and his wife are doing fine. There is nothing to worry. If needed, they would be shifted to hospital."

Shibu Soren's son and present Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, who had tested negative for Covid-19 twice, earlier went into quarantine after the state's Health Minister Banna Gupta was found infected with the deadly virus.
