Earlier, actress Rhea Chakraborty, an accused in Sushant's death case, had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the "unfair media trial".
Sushant was found dead at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.
Though the Mumbai Police initially stated it to be a suicide case, KK Singh had lodged a (First Information Report) FIR with Bihar Police alleging that Sushant's girlfriend Rhea had siphoned off Rs 15 crore from his son's account and other accounts of companies floated with his investments.
Last week, the Supreme Court had handed over the entire probe into Sushant's death to the CBI.
The Narcotics Control Bureau has started an investigation following fresh allegations linked to WhatsApp chats reportedly recovered from Sushant's girlfriend Rhea's phone.
However, Rhea's lawyer has denied all allegations that the 28-year-old actress was in touch with drug dealers.
Rhea on Thursday reached out to Mumbai Police seeking protection after her father Indrajit Chakraborty was allegedly harassed inside her building compound.
