Two people who hoisted Khalistan flag atop DC office nabbed in Delhi

New Delhi/Moga/UNI: Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested two members of a banned outfit -- Khalistan Zindabad Force -- from the national capital, who had arrived to allegedly commit anti-national actvities, the police said Sunday.

According to the police, the duo identified as Inderjeet Gill and Jaspal Singh, both hailing from Moga town of Punjab, are also having connections with the banned channel Sikhs For Justice.

Recently on the eve of Independence Day, the two allegedly raised the Khalistan Flag at the roof-top of the District Collector's office in Moga, Punjab and had desecrated the Indian flag at the premises.

It was on Saturday that the cell received an input regarind two KZF members are to arrive in Delhi in view of executing some anti-national activities on the instance of their commanders from overseas. They were spotted near the Shani mandir bus-stop on GT Karnal road and when the police team approached them they began moving away swiftly, but, were chased and over-powered by the special cell's team.

During questioning, both the accused disclosed their involvement in sedition case registered at Moga, so they were arrested in 41.1(B) CrPC.

Delhi Police informed the Moga police of the arrest of two members of the militant organization, Moga SSP Harmanbeer Singh Gill said. He said that a police party has left for Delhi to bring back both the accused on protection warrant.

According to the SSP, a third accused, Akashdeep Singh, was already arrested by the Moga police on August 20. He said the accused had conspired the crime following a call given by US based pro Khalistan outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) led by Gurpatwant Singh.

Akashdeep was instructed to make a video of the flag hoisting and the other two hoisted the Khalstani flag over the roof top of DC office.

It was during the questioning by the special cell of Delhi Police it was revealed that since his early years Inderjeet had a radical set of mind bent towards pro Khalistan movement and on August 8, his maternal brother Jagga persuaded him to listen to a banned Youtube channel namely "SIKHS FOR JUSTICE" and also told him to vote for Khalistan on a whatsapp link to be sent by them and become its member.

Inderjeet subscribed the channel and started watching it which is available from 0900 hrs to 1100 hrs and it was on August 09, he received a Whatsapp link where he was asked to cast his vote for Khalistan.

He further disclosed that one person namely Rana from US and another person used to deliver lectures on the channel "SIKHS FOR JUSTICE" and deliberate anti- India preaching asking Sikh youths to build Khalistan, waving Khalistan flag and tearing the Indian flag on 14, 15 and 16th of August.

According to Inderjeet, Rana had declared a reward of 2500 dollars for waving a Khalistan flag and for tearing the Indian flag at Moga and a reward of 1,25,000 dollars for doing the same on the Red Fort and other historical buildings.

On the eve of Independence day, in the early morning hours, Inderjeet along with Jaspal Singh and Akashdeep went to DC Office Moga on two bikes where Jaspal and Inderjeet reached to the roof and hoisted the Khalistan flag and lowered the Indian Flag and tore it into pieces. Then they conveyed the whole episode to Rana on Whatsapp and sent all these videos to him which were uploaded on a channel and were made viral, he further revealed during interrogation.
