New Delhi/UNI: More than 8,000 passengers availed the services of Delhi Metro on Yellow Line and Rapid Metro on Tuesday morning, from 0700 hrs to 1100 hrs.
According to a DMRC official, more than 15,000 passengers availed the services of Delhi Metro on Monday, when the DMRC resumed its services on Yellow Line and Rapid Metro, as per the graded resumption plan, after remaining closed for 169 days, due to the global pandemic of Novel Coronavirus.
'Passenger availing services on Yellow line/Rapid Metro till 2030 hrs on Monday were around 15,500,' the official added.
The Delhi Metro resumed its services on Monday morning on Line-2 (Yellow Line) from Samaypur Badli to HUDA City Centre, including Rapid Metro, Gurugram at 0700 hrs, with all safety measures in place to check the spread of COVID-19 in the Metro premises, which requires everyone to follow a new normal of social distancing, face mask and hand sanitisation.
Delhi Metro resumed its services on Monday on Yellow Line and Rapid Metro in two shifts and the passenger service timings in morning are from 0700 hrs to 1100 hrs and in evening from 1600 hrs to 2000 hrs.
The metro services in the NCR region were suspended from March 22, following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
