Ambala/UNI: Fighter Jet Rafale will be formally inducted in the Indian Air Force at Ambala Air Force Station at an impressive function here on Thursday.

On this occasion, pilots of 17 Golden Arrow Squadron will present acrobatics with Rafale in the open sky.

Rafale will fly at supersonic speed and would present show through acrobatics which is unheard and unseen.

It is learnt that selected pilots are engaged in practice with Rafale for its presentation at the function to be held at the Air Force Station Ambala on Thursday.

The whole of the sky starts shivering during their exercise. Faster than the sound on which it flies, Rafale appears silently and disappears within seconds after roaring in the sky.

On this historic moment, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with his counterpart from France Florence Parle would be present the occasion.

Security has been tightened on the Air Force Station and all the surrounding areas of Amballa Cantt. Armed Army jawans are patrolling the area on the main roads and all entry points to the Cantonment area.

Five Rafale jets had landed at the Ambala Air Force station under the leadership of Group Captain Harkirat Singh on July 29.

The 17th Golden Arrow Squadron has been revived in September last year for Rafale. Some of the pilots and crew took training of flying the Rafale and many were being trained in France.
