UP police arrest Ballia murder case accused
Ballia/IBNS: A man accused of shooting another in presence of police in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia, has been arrested.
The accused Dhirendra Singh filed a "surrender application" at a local court.
This allows an accused to surrender directly before the court, which then decides whether to send him to the police or judicial custody.
The victim, identified as 46-year-old Jaiprakash, was allegedly shot dead by Dhirendra Singh, a BJP worker, in presence of locals officials.
The accused had shot him thrice, witnesses said.
