Jammu/UNI: Pakistan troops yet again violated the ceasefire on Saturday by starting unprovoked firing at Indian posts along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence spokesman here said that at about 0230 hrs, Pakistan in violation of the ceasefire initiated firing with small arms and resorted to mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mankote sector, in district Poonch.

The Indian Army retaliated befittingly to the unprovoked firing, he said.

The spokesman added that earlier on November 1 also, Pakistan had violated the ceasefire by initiating unprovoked firing in Shahpur, Kitni and Qasaba areas of Poonch.

However, no injuries or damages were reported in the firing.
