Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan tests positive for coronavirus
Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan tested positive to COVID-19 on Saturday.
The Governor, in a tweet, said "I have tested positive for Covid19. But, there is no cause for concern. However, I request all those who had contact with me in NewDelhi last week to test for COVID, or be under observation to be on the safe side."
India registered 50,357 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health data released on Saturday.
During the same period, 577 deaths have been registered in the nation which houses 1.3 billion people.
There are 516632 active cases in the country at present, a decrease of 4,141 cases in the 24 hours period.
