J&K Sarpanchs to visit Uttarakhand for 5-day training-cum-exposure tour

Srinagar: A batch of 33 Sarpanchs from Jammu & Kashmir is visiting Uttarakhand on five-day training-cumexposure visit from December 14, with an aim to expose them to the best practices and make them learn about the implementation of flagship schemes in the state of Uttarakhand.

Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Sheetal Nanda, held a brief interaction with the delegation before flagging off a batch of the 33 Sarpanchs of different districts of the UT from Panchayat Bhawan here today.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheetal Nanda said that the Department of Panchayati Raj, Uttarakhand has organised this training visit very meticulously for the exposure of Sarpanchs of Jammu and Kashmir.

She exhorted the Sarpanchs to take maximum advantage of the field exposure tour so that the best practices learnt gets replicated in various Panchayats of J&K.
