Punjab: 5 men gangrape newly married girl in Kalan village of Ludhiana city

Ludhiana/UNI: Five men raped a newly married girl on Saturday in Mandiani Kalan village in the city and later threw her out of a shopping mall and fled.

According to police, the victim is a resident of Haibowal and earns by putting heena on marriage attendants.

According to the complainant, the accused had called the victim to apply Mehendi near MBD Mall. When the victim girl reached, the accused took her to Mandiani village. Unaware of their intentions intially the accused started threatening her.

Police said the girl was raped by five accused in a house in Mandiani village. After the rape, the accused threw the girl outside the Grand Walk Mall and fled, where the victim called her husband. The victim was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Investigating officer Gurbans Singh said the accused have been identified and will be arrested soon. The victim was married some time back.
