India reports little over 23,000 Covid-19 cases, 336 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India, which is witnessing a steady decline in the Novel Coronavirus cases, on Friday reported little over 23,000 new infections. 

In 24 hours between Thursday and Friday mornings, the country has reported 23,067 Covid-19 cases taking the overall tally to 1,01,46,845.

With 336 new deaths apparently due to the virus, the Covid-19 toll has touched 1,47,092.

The active cases in the country have further fallen to 2,81,919 as 24,661 Covid-19 patients recovered in the last one day.

97,17834 people, who were infected with the virus, have recovered so far since the outbreak of the disease in the country in January 2020.

The Jammu and Kashmir government identified 20 travelers from the United Kingdom and quarantined them immediately and kept them under surveillance in the wake of the new Coronavirus strain in the western country.

The authorities have also sounded an alert across the Union Territory.

Deputy Commissioners across the Union Territory have been issued special instructions in this regard.
