Centre extends Covid 19 guidelines till Feb 28

New Delhi/UNI: The Centre on Wednesday extended the Covid-19 guidelines till February 28.

The last guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will be expiring on Jan 31.

In the fresh guidelines, the Ministry asked the States and Union Territories (UTs) to maintain caution and to strictly follow the prescribed containment strategy focussed on surveillance.

Local district, police and municipal authorities shall be responsible to ensure that the prescribed containment measures have to be strictly followed and State and UT Governments shall ensure the accountability of the officers concerned in this regard, the guidelines said.

As earlier, the State Governments shall take all necessary measures to promote COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and ensure the wearing of face masks, hand hygiene and social distancing.
