Baharampur/UNI: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be in Murshidabad on Feb 9 to attend a public meeting.

The tour programme of the Chief Minister has been sent to the district party office from the state party office.

The District Administration and Police Department have swung into action to make adequate preparations for the event.

The Trinamool Congress district heads will hold a meeting to decide on the venue of the Chief Minister's public rally.

The district leaders are of the opinion that there will be a huge footfall due to Banerjee's popularity.

The Trinamool Congress has devoted all its energy in winning all the 22 seats in the district in the upcoming assembly election.

There are also rumours that Suvendu Adhikari, who was from the District Observer of the Trinamool, is still in touch with a lot of party insiders even after his removal.

Municipal Affairs and Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim has issued a strong warning against them.

In this situation, the news of Trinamool supremo's arrival has brought in a lot of enthusiasm and excitement among the party workers.
