Top JeM OGW, deported from Qatar, arrested at Delhi airport: Jammu and Kashmir Police
Srinagar/UNI: A top Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Over Ground Worker (OGW), who was deported from Qatar, was on Friday arrested by J&K police at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, a police spokesperson said here.
He said the top OGW, who was wanted in many militancy related cases, was deported to India from Qatar on Friday.
“The OGW has been identified as Munib Sofi, a resident of Bijbehara in south Kashmir district of Anantnag,” he said.
He said Kulgam police on Friday took Sofi into its custody at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
“Sofi was working for Pakistani-based militant Waleed Bhai, who was killed in an encounter with security forces at Kulgam last year,” he added.
