Bengal determined to bring real Poribartan: Narendra Modi
Hooghly (WB)/UNI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called upon the people to vote for BJP to bring "real poribartan" and assured them the party would not only restore West Bengal's past glorious culture but also pave the way for all round development of the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a public meeting at the historic Dunlop Ground in Chinsurah said the people of the state had made up their mind to bring "poriborton" in the state.
As Modi took to the podium for Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for the upcoming polls, people greeted him by chanting "Modi Modi" and "Jai Shri Ram".
“This enthusiasm and energy by all of you are sending a message from Kolkata to Delhi. Now West Bengal has made up its mind for 'poriborton'," Modi said.
The PM began his speech with a tribute in Bangla to Tarak Nath, the deity of the famous Tarakeshwar shrine located in the district.
Modi said the Centre has prioritized the investment in railway infrastructure and electrification in the area, which had been neglected by the successive governments in Bengal so far.
He said unless the extortion, "tola baji", syndicate and cut money culture were not ended in the state, there would not be any development here. He asked people to vote for BJP to bring real change in every aspects of life.
“Last time, I came here to dedicate a gas connection. Today, I am here to offer several railway projects to Bengal," Modi said.
" This year 'rail & metro' connectivity is the Centre's priority. Such work should have been done decades ago and now, we should not delay from broadening of rail lines to electrification work, money is being invested in infrastructure projects,” Modi.said.
