King of Bengali film dialogues, Mithun Chakraborty wows BJP's Brigade crowd with punchlines, calls himself Cobra
Kolkata/IBNS: Joining the BJP at Narendra Modi's Brigade rally in Kolkata, film star Mithun Chakraborty on Sunday delivered a few of his high-pitched dialogues from some Bengali movies to cheer up the crowd. The charismatic cine star who straddled the world of Bollywood and Tollywood with huge fan following also added a punchline for the day- he called himself a pure Cobra.
During his speech, Mithun Chakraborty quoted from his 2006 Bengali blockbuster MLA Fatakesto: "I know you love my dialogues and you are waiting for this one- Marbo Ekhane, Lash Porbe Shoshaney (I will strike you here and your body will be found at the crematorium)".
"Today, I will be giving you another new dialogue. I am Mithun Chakraborty and I do what I say. The dialogue is - Ami joldhora o noi, belebora o noi.....Ami ekta cobra, Ami Jaat Gokhro.. ek chhobol-ei chhobi (I am not those harmless snakes, I am a pure cobra, one bite and you will be a photograph," the superstar added.
"I am going to be there, always with you. Do remember the dialogue," he said.
Recalling his childhood, the veteran actor said, "I was born in a poor family living in a blind lane in a slum area in Kolkata where even postmen used to bet lost while delivering letters, and welcoming PM Modi today is a dream come true for me."
"Everyone who has been born and brought up in Bengal is a Bengali and I am proud to be a Bengali," Mithun Chakraborty said.
Here are some of the famous Mithun Chakraborty dialogues from films:
Ami khabor dekhina, khabar porina, khabor tairi kori. (I do not see news, I do not read news, I make news)
Ami jekhane paa rakhi, sei jaygata garam hoy, tarpor agun jale, sesh hoy chai hoye (Wherever I set my foot, the place heats up first, then there is fire and then it ends up in ashes.)
Aami kukur ke biskoot, beral ke doodh aar criminal ke gooli khawai. Tai tara aamar payer kaache pore thake. (I feed dogs with biscuits, cats with milk and criminals with bullets. So they are always at my feet.)
Shaaper chobol aar cheetar khabol, jekhanei porbey arai kg mangsho tuley nebe. (A snake’s bite and a cheetah’s paw, wherever they land, they scoop out 2.5 kg of flesh)
