Why is TTD installing the 3rd statue of YSR in Tirupati: Dr. Chinta Mohan

Tirupati/UNI: Former Union Minister and special representative of Andhra Pradesh in Congress working committee Dr. Chinta Mohan on Monday criticized the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD), for installing a statue of Ex-CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, in the SVIMS complex.

Dr. Mohan argued that YSR has done nothing for developing, either SVIMS or Tirupati Mohan mentioned while reflecting that already two statues of YSR adorned the pilgrim city.

Speaking to the media, the Congress veteran and a prospective candidate for winning Tirupati Lok Sabha by-election reflected on the popularity of Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy saying it's in the downswing and he might not be in the power seat.

Additionally, he said, the YSRCP had abused official machinery and police in the recent gram panchayat polls, and TTD should realize what happened to IAS officer Sri Lakshmi for blindly doing things for YSR and his son Jaganmohan Reddy.

Dr. Mohan challenged, both YSRCP and BJP for a public debate on their contributions to Tirupati parliamentary constituency.

He was also seen stating that both TDP and BJP had scuttled all development agenda launched for Tirupati, by the UPA-led Congress government which included Duggarajapatnam port, Mannavaram BEML plant, and others.
