Kolkata/IBNS: The Left Front (LF), Indian National Congress (INC) and Indian Secular Front (ISF)'s alliance, Sanjukta Morcha, on Wednesday announced that CPI-M's youth wing, Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), leader Minakshi Mukherjee will take on TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and BJP's heavyweight candidate Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram seat in the forthcoming West Bengal assembly election.

LF Chairman Biman Bose declared another series of Left candidates, who will contest the forthcoming election under the Left-INC-ISF alliance.

For the first time in the history of the Left Front in West Bengal, the party has fielded several youth faces for the mega contest.

Multiple youth leaders of the party, including former JNUSU leader Aishe Ghosh, Student Federation of India (SFI)'s state secretary Srijan Bhattacharya, SFI leader Dipsita Dhar and SFI's state president Pratikur Rahman, will be contesting from Jamuria, Singur, Bally and Diamond Harbour assembly seats respectively.

The Left Front has named senior CPI-M leaders Kanti Ganguly, Sujan Chakraborty and Md. Selim as the Sanjukta Morcha candidates for Raidighi, Jadavpur and Chanditala seats respectively.

Meanwhile, CPI-M candidate, actor Debdut Ghosh, will take on TMC's Aroop Biswas in Tollygunge seat.
