PM Narendra Modi targets Congress and says it is Mahajhuth not Mahajot

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the Congress-AIUDF led grand alliance is not Mahajot (grand alliance), it is Mahajhuth (big lie) of the grand old party.

Addressing an election campaign rally at Bihpuria in Assam’s Lakhimpur district PM Modi said Congress is a part of Mahajhuth and such a Mahajhuth has no thoughts, sacraments.

“Such a Mahajhuth has neither a leader nor a policy. This Mahajhuth has only given guarantees of infiltration and loot. They have given guarantees of illegal occupation in our Satras, Namghars and sanctuaries, corruption and poaching,” Modi said.

PM Modi further said that, the Congress party has supported those who are trying to defame Assam tea globally.

“Today the Congress party has a hand with such people, whose basis is to destroy the identity of Assam. Congress can do anything for vote, take anyone and cheat anyone,” Modi said.

PM Modi said that, the NDA government has increased the daily wages of the tea garden workers to double in last five years.

He also said that, the NDA-led double engine government is working for development aspirations of Assam.
