COVID second wave: Bengal govt acquires 1367 private hospital beds
Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal government has acquired 1367 beds from 24 privately-run hospitals across the state to tackle the second wave of Covid-19, officials said on Wednesday.
According to Bengal health and family welfare department officials, the state has acquired 1367 private hospital beds, including 897 general beds, 370 CCU beds, 90 HDU beds and 10 NICU beds.
The state government said that Covid patients can only be admitted to these beds through Swasthya Bhawan, the headquarter of Bengal health department.
West Bengal is currently registering over 16,000 Covid cases every day.
