Oxygen Express with five loaded tankers begins journey from Angul to Secunderabad
Hyderabad/UNI: The Oxygen Express, loaded with 5 tankers, has commenced its journey from Angul in Odisha to Secunderabad.
The oxygen express with five empty tankers left for Angul from Secunderabad Cantonment Military Siding on April 28.
After the tankers are filled with Liquid Oxygen, the express train started the Journey back to Secunderabad.
The five tankers together was carrying 63.6 tonnes of oxygen, a South Central Railway (SCR) release here said on Saturday.
The first loaded Oxygen Express to Secunderabad had started its journey from Angul.

The Liquid Oxygen is being transported is a cryogenic cargo which has many limitations like maximum speed at which it can be carried, maximum acceleration & deceleration and loading restrictions (like availability of liquid oxygen tankers, loading ramps etc).
The Route Mapping of the train along with green corridor is done taking into consideration of all these factors (including ensuring adequate clearance along the route in terms of curves, RUBs and FOBs.
The Zone has operated two empty Oxygen Express trains from Secunderabad, while the first train had 05 empty tankers, the second train was sent with 04 empty tankers (on April 30). Now, the first train has commenced its journey back from Angul with Liquid Oxygen-filled tankers.
SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya has assured that the Railways will continue to provide utmost priority to the running of the Oxygen Express trains. Any request received on this front will be immediately processed so as to operate the trains at the earliest.
He advised all Officers and Staff to maintain continuous monitoring of the movement of this train along the green corridor.
