Railway Minister flags off Santragachi-Anand Vihar weekly superfast express

Kolkata, Jan 6 (IBNS) The Union Minister of Railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu flagged off the Ananad Vihar-Santragachi Weekly Superfast Express along with two other trains from Anand Vihar on Tuesday.
The train was flagged off with a view to fulfillment of public demand. 
 
On the inaugural day, the train runs as Special Train from Anand Vihar on open path timings for Santragachi.  
 
The regular run of Santragachi-Anand Vihar Weekly Superfast Express will commence from Jan 12 from Santragachi.
 
"Santragachi-Anand Vihar Weekly Superfast Express (22857) leaving Santragachi every Monday at 08.50 AM  will reach Anand Vihar at 11.50 AM, the next day.  In the return direction, Anand Vihar-Santragachi Weekly Superfast Express (22858) leaving Anand Vihar every Tuesday at 1.45 PM will arrive Santragachi at 5 PM, the next day," said a government statement issued on Tuesday.
 
"Santragachi-Anand Vihar Weekly Superfast Express consisting of 17 coaches (AC 2 tier-1, AC 3 tier-1, Sleeper Class-8, Genl. Second class-5 and Luggage/Guard Van-2 will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Purulia, Gomoh, Gaya, Mughalsarai, Allahabad, Kanpur and Aligarh between Santragachi and Anand Vihar," it said.
