COVID-19: Delhi to vaccinate people at polling centres, announces CM Kejriwal
New Delhi/IBNS: In a significant step to inoculate people in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced his government will launch a door-to-door COVID-19 vaccination campaign after fewer people aged 45 or more turned up to the jabbing centres.
Kejriwal said people will have to reach their election centres, where they visit to cast their votes during elections, to get vaccinated with the first dose.
E-rickshaws will be used to help people reach the polling booths.
The government officers will reach people's houses and inform them about their slots.

The vaccination drive will be done in four weeks with each week catering to 70 of approximately 280 wards in the city.
The similar four-week drive will be conducted for the second dose after the interval between the two shots is completed.
"Fewer people aged 45 or more are turning up to the vaccination centres. So instead of waiting for them, we have decided to reach them," said the Chief Minister in a daily briefing.
