Supreme Court asks state boards to declare class 12 results by Jul 31
New Delhi/IBNS: The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the state education boards to declare class 12 results by Jul 31, media reports said.
The court has given 10 days to the state boards to formulate the internal assessment.
Earlier, the apex court gave two weeks' time to the central education board or CBSE and CISCE to formulate the criteria to assess students.
The CBSE and CISCE will also have to declare class 12 results by Jul 31.
As many as 21 states have called off board examinations owing to COVID-19 pandemic.
A huge number of students and parents had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking the cancellation of board examinations.
