Narendra Modi's Cabinet reshuffle: 43 new Ministers take oath
New Delhi: In a major reshuffle of the PM Narendra Modi-led Cabinet, 43 new ministers took oath on Wednesday.
President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office at a ceremony held at the Rajbhavan.
Several young leaders were added to the new team that will be led by Modi.
The list of leaders who took oath as Ministers are Narayan Tatu Rane, Sarbanand Sonowal, Dr Virender Kumar, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Ramachandra P Singh, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Pashupati Kumar Paras, Kiren Rijiju, Raj Kumar Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, Mansukh Mandaviya, Bhupendar Yadav, Parshottam Rupala, G Kishan Reddy, Anurag Thakur, Pankaj Choudhary, Anupriya Patel, Dr Satyapal Baghel, Dr Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Shobha Karandlaje, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Darshan Vikram Jardosh, Meenakshi Lekhi, Annapurna Devi, A Narayanaswamy and Kaushal Kishore, reports UNI.
Besides, Ajay Bhatt, B L Verma, Ajay Kumar, Chauhan Devusinh, Bhagwanth Khuba, Kapil Patil, Pratima Bhoumik, Dr S Sarkar, Dr Bhagwat Karad, Dr Rajkumar Singh, Dr Bharati Pawar, Bishweshwar Tudu, Shantanu Thakur, Dr Munjapara Mahendrabhai, John Barla, Dr L Murugan and Nitish Pramanik will also take the oath as the Union Ministers.
Ahead of the Cabinet reshuffle, several senior ministers, including Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Minister for Law and Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad, resigned from their positions.
This is the major Cabinet reshuffle taking place since Narendra Modi and his government returned to power for the second term in 2019 after registering a thumping victory in the Lok Sabha polls.
President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has accepted the resignation of the following members of the Council of Ministers, with immediate effect:

4. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’
5. Dr. Harsh Vardhan
6. Prakash Javadekar
7. Santosh Kumar Gangwar
8. Babul Supriyo
9. Dhotre Sanjay Shamrao
10. Rattan Lal Kataria
11. Pratap Chandra Sarangi
12. Debasree Chaudhuri
