Kolkata Metro adds 12 additional services from Jul 26

Kolkata/UNI: For the convenience of the Kolkata Metro commuters, the authorities have decided to add 12 more Metro services (UP & DN) from July 26 .

Metro will run 220 (110 UP & 110 DN) daily services instead of 208 services from Monday to Friday. Out of these 220 services, 150 services (75 UP & 75 DN) will run in between Kavi Subhash and Dakshineswar.

Metro services will run at an interval of 6 minutes during morning and evening peak hours, an official said.

The first trains will start from Dakshineswar and Dum Dum to Kavi Subhash at 7:30 am instead of 8 am.

From Kavi Subhash and Dum Dum, the commuters will get their first train to Dakshineswar at 7:30 am instead of 8 am.

The last service from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash will be the same i.e. 7:48 PM.

Commuters will get the last train from Dum Dum to Kavi Subhash and from Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar at 8PM.

On Saturdays, 104 numbers ( 52 UP & 52 DN ) Maintenance Special Services will be run only for essential staff from 08.00 hrs to 11.30 hrs and 15.30 hrs to 19.30 hrs between Kavi Subhash and Dakshinewar.

There will be no services on Sundays

East–West Metro services will remain unchanged. Those who have smart cards can avail the service only.

No tokens will be issued.
