Yavatmal/IBNS: A 29-year-old man was killed after the helicopter he was making developed a snag and one of its blades broke off and hit his head during a trial run in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra.

A Class VIII dropout, Shaikh Ismail (29), who worked as a welder and fabricator at Fulsawangi in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, had developed an interest in aviation and he was working on building his own 'Munna Helicopter' for last two years, according to sources.

The mishap occurred during a test run of the copter on Wednesday in Fulsawangi village of the district.

He was rushed to the hospital in an injured state where he died during treatment, sources said.

Further probe is on, they added.
