Accept money from BJP and Congress: Kejriwal
Addressing a rally in Delhi, Kejriwal said: "Its election time and people from both the BJP and the Congress will come to offer money to you. Don't refuse them. Accept the money as they have looted your money from 2G for coal scam. If someone does not bribe you then you should go to their office and ask them for it. So, accept money from both the parties but vote for the broom."
The Congress criticised the former Delhi Chief Minister said he should apologise to the people of the national capital for making such a remark.
"We condemn his statement. He has insulted the people of Delhi by making such a remark. We feel that Kejriwal should apologise to the people of Delhi for making such a remark," Congress leader Ajay Maken told media.
Maken would lead the campaign committee for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls for the party.
Kejriwal's former colleague Shazia Ilmi, who recently joined the BJP, slammed the AAP supremo for his remark and tweeted: "So is Aap insinuating that Delhi voters are open to inducement. Is that why they voted for Aap in huge numbers?"
Delhi Assembly elections will be held on Feb. 7.
