Kolkata/IBNS: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday questioned Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in connection with its ongoing probe into the ICore chit fund scam, officials said.

According to reports, Bengal Minister for Industry, Commerce and Enterprises, Partha Chatterjee, was quizzed for two hours at his office, Shilpa Sadan, in Kolkata's Camac Street area.

Sources in the Central probe agency said that after being summoned on Sept 6, Chatterjee had requested the CBI to question him either at his office at Shilpa Sadan or his residence at Naktala.

After the interrogation was over, Partha Chatterjee told the media that he had cooperated with the CBI probe.

"I responded to their all questions and I will cooperate with the investigation in future too," Chatterjee said.

Earlier in March, CBI had summoned Partha Chatterjee in connection with the same case though the TMC leader skipped the call claiming he was busy with the state assembly election's campaigns.
