New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday turned 71.

Meanwhile, the BJP will congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his 20 years in public service with a 20-day mega event - "Seva and Samarpan Abhiyan"- starting from his 71st birthday on September 17.
BJP national president JP Nadda had earlier said massive cleanliness and blood donation campaigns and multiple events will be organised as part of the 20-day celebration and all the state units have been directed to make preparations for this.
Five crore postcards will be sent from BJP booths across the country to congratulate the PM for his public service as "party members commit themselves to public service".
Special exhibitions dedicated to the life of the Prime Minister will be organised by party members and the virtual events can be attended on the NaMo app.
In Uttar Pradesh, BJP volunteers will hold a campaign to clean the river Ganga at 71 sites.
"Intellectuals and famous personalities will be invited to attend events that focus on PM Modi's life and his achievements. In various languages, opinions and articles by prominent personalities will be published to ensure the message reaches out to public," the party statement said.
Health camps will be held at districts levels and food items will be distributed under 'Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana' - led by women leaders.
"All representatives will go to vaccine centres with an aim to spread awareness and thank the Prime Minister," the party members have been directed.
A massive cleanliness campaign will be organised and the use of Khadi and local products will be encouraged through public messages.
Children who have lost their parents due to Covid-19 will be registered by BJP workers so that they can be benefitted by PM Cares.
All gifts received by the Prime Minister will be auctioned on the government website- pmmemontos.gov.in.
