This is the first time he will be addressing the session in person ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world.
Modi arrived in New York on Friday after attending all his crucial meetings in Washington.
He addressed the Assembly in person in 2019 as in 2020 the event had gone virtual.
Modi met US President Joe Biden on Friday.
