Guwahati/IBNS: A 60-year-old man in Assam’s Cachar district died after being bitten by a king cobra.

The incident occurred while the man was exhibiting the big snake in nearby villages.

The incident took place at Bishnupur village in Cachar district.

The deceased person was identified as Raghunandan Bhumij.

Locals said that Raghunandan spotted a 14-feet-long king cobra at a paddy field in his village and caught the venomous species.

After catching the king cobra, Bhumij wrapped the snake around his neck and displayed it in the village area.

Many villagers had captured the incident on their mobile phones.

Locals said that Bhumij was bitten by the snake while he was dancing with it.

The man was taken to hospital where the doctor declared him brought-dead.
