'Talibani mentality': Yogi slams Akhilesh for comparing Sardar Patel with Jinnah
Moradabad/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday sought an unconditional apology from Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav for his statement comparing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel with Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Adityanath made these comments after receiving salute from the passing out of DSP trainees at the Police training academy.
The Chief Minister said, "The Samajwadi Party Chief on Sunday compared Jinnah with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which shows his destructive mentality.
"This is a shameful act and it shows Talibani mentality that believes in dividing. Sardar Patel united the country. Presently, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work is underway to achieve 'Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat'," he added while demanding Akhilesh to offer an unconditional apology for his statement.
Talking about his government's zero-tolerance towards crime and criminals, the Chief Minister said as Uttar Pradesh has a maximum population, it is a hard task to maintain law and order in the state.
"I salute to every policeman, who is dedicating himself to work round-the-clock to control crime and maintain law and order," he added.
