Justice Uday Umesh Lalit graces programme on cleanliness drive cum legal awareness campaign in Mizoram

Guwahati/IBNS: In connection with the Pan India Legal Awareness Programme (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav), Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, Judge, Supreme Court & Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) participated in the closing part of the programme on Cleanliness Drive-cum-Legal Awareness Campaign as the Chief Guest in Reiek Village which is 29 km away from Aizawl City in Mizoram.

After unveiling the plaque to commemorate the occasion, he had briefly addressed the gatherings. Justice Uday Umesh Lalit revealed he was impressed on his maiden visit by witnessing the cleanliness of the place, the warmth on the face of people and simplicity.

He believed that Mizoram can improve further on this front.

He was also hoping that the MSLSA  would continue to support those in need of legal services to assure access to justice for all.

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit was accompanied by Ashok Kumar Jain, Member Secretary, National Legal Services Authority and Puneet Sehgal, Director, National Legal Services Authority. Justice Michael Zothankhuma, Judge, Gauhati High Court & Executive Chairman, MSLSA and Justice Nelson Sailo, Judge, Gauhati High Court also attended the event.

On Saturday, they will again be attending another function of the same campaign at Rawpuichhip, 51 km from Aizawl City.
