Navjot Sidhu | Punjab Chandigarh/UNI: Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday said that borrowing is not the way forward for a debt-ridden state like Punjab as the state's debt accounts to 50 per cent of its GDP.
In a series of tweets, Sidhu said, “Borrowing is not the way forward! Taxes should not be used to settle debt but go back to the people in the form of development.
"Solution-oriented model is to stop theft of state’s resources, fill up public exchequer and create a Welfare State through income generation.”
