Malegaon blast case: Sadhvi Pragya asked to appear before court on Dec 1
Mumbai/UNI: A Special NIA Court in Mumbai hearing the 2008 Malegaon blast case on Wednesday directed BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur to appear before the court whenever she is summoned in the matter.
Special Court Judge PR Sitre directed the Bhopal MP for future appearances as well after she appeared before the court on Wednesday.
The BJP MP walked inside the court after the last time she attended the hearing in a wheelchair.
During the proceeding she informed the court that she will undergo treatment at Kokilaben Hospital and she has a medical issue related to her veins.
Court recorded the information and allowed her to appear next when the court summons her.
She was directed to appear next on Dec 1.
Victims were represented by Jamiat Ulma advocate Shahid Nadeem Ansari. Sadhvi's lawyer
Seven persons, including Thakur and Lt Col Prasad Purohit, are facing trial in the case.
Six people were killed and over 100 injured when an explosive device strapped to a motorcycle went off near a mosque in Malegaon, a town about 200 km from here in north Maharashtra, on September 29, 2008.
