New Delhi/UNI: The Rajya Sabha was on Thursday adjourned till 2 pm after Opposition members began shouting to be heard and House Chairman Venkaiah Naidu abruptly adjourned the proceedings.
After the House met in the morning, the House Chairman read out a statement on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vijay Diwas in Bangladesh and to pay tribute to the valiant and triumphant Indian soldiers who fought in the 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh.
“We have very friendly relations with Bangladesh and ardently desire to strengthen the relations with Bangladesh,” Chairman Naidu said.
Then he called different members to lay the reports of different committees on the table of the House.
