Kolkata, Jan 31 (IBNS): The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday said it will protest against the manner in which they are being targeted by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Rajya Sabha 'due to lack of majority'.

West Bengal minister and TMC leader Partha Chatterjee made the remarks after a meeting of the party's Core Committee  here.

” We will protest against the manner in which BJP Govt is targeting TMC in Rajya Sabha due to lack of majority. The Party will send a delegation led by Derek O’Brien to meet the Vice President on this issue. We will raise the issue of electoral reforms in Parliament," Chatterjee was quoted as saying by aitcofficial.org.

Attacking the BJP, senior TMC leader Subrata Mukherjee said: "We accept BJP’s challenge. We will not allow politics of communalism. We will give our lives instead. They are practicing the politics of forced conversions. We will counter them. Indian Constitution is a Secular Constitution. We will not tolerate communal politics.BJP is inciting politics of hate, violence and communalism in Bengal."
