Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dials PM Modi, seeks political support in UNSC
Kyiv/New Delhi: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday dialled Indian PM Narendra Modi and discussed the situation in Kyiv city as Russian forces continued to invade the country for the third straight day.
He asked PM Modi to give his country political support in the UN Security Council.
The Ukrainian President tweeted, "Spoke with Prime Minister @narendramodi. Informed of the course of repulsing aggression. More than 100,000 invaders are on our land. They insidiously fire on residential buildings. Urged to give us political support in Security Council. Stop the aggressor together!"

India had abstained on the vote on draft resolution that condemned Russia's 'aggression' against Ukraine in UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine.
China and UAE also abstained on the vote while 11 countries voted in favour of the resolution.
