New Delhi/IBNS: Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all set to sweep Punjab polls while the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will retain Uttar Pradesh, exit polls predicted on Monday as voting for assembly elections in five states concluded, which is seen as the semi-final ahead of the 2024 national polls.

Punjab:

An average of five exit polls predicted a comfortable win for AAP in its first major state, Punjab. According to the exit polls, AAP will bag 68 seats in the 117-seat Punjab, where 59 is the majority mark.

The party has been trying to make a mark outside Delhi, which it has been ruling since 2015.

As per the C-Vote exit poll, 22-28 seats will go to Congress in Punjab, BJP to win 7-13 seats while AAP will get 51-61 seats and 20-16 will go to the Akali Dal.

Today's Chanakya exit poll has predicted 100 seats for AAP in Punjab, 10 for the Congress and 6 for the SAD.

Times Now-Veto exit poll predicteded 70 seats for AAP in Punjab, 22 for the Congress, 19 for the Akali Dal and 5 for the BJP.

Uttar Pradesh:

The Yogi Adityanath-led BJP is likely to achieve a second straight win in Uttar Pradesh, according to the exit polls signal.

An aggregate of four polls gives the BJP and its allies 231 of the state's 403 seats where the majority mark is at 202. The exit polls predicted that Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party would be limited at around 140-plus.

According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, 288-326 seats will go to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh while the Samajwadi Party will win 71-101 seats. 3-9 seats will go to the Bahujan Samaj Party, 1-3 for the Congress and 2-3 for others.

Goa:

The exit polls also predicted a tight race in Goa, with the BJP said to win 18 of the state's 40 seats and the Congress 15.

However, both are predicted to get below the majority mark of 21.

The India Today - Axis My India Exit Poll for the Goa Assembly election has predicted 15-20 seats for the Congress-Goa Forward Party alliance.

According to the exit poll, the BJP will win 14-18 seats in the 40-seat Assembly.

Uttarakhand:

In Uttarakhand too, the exit polls predicted a close fight, with the BJP marginally ahead of the Congress.

However, both the BJP and the Congress are within striking distance of power.

As per the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, BJP will get 44 per cent of the total vote share, with 36-46 seats.

The Congress could get 40 per cent, bagging anywhere between 20-30 seats, followed by the BSP with 0-2 seats.

Manipur:

The exit polls have predicted that the BJP is set to win the most seats in Manipur.

The BJP is likely to win 30 seats in the 60-seat assembly, the exit polls say - just one below the majority mark. Congress may win 14 seats.

According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, 33-43 seats will go to the BJP in Manipur, 4-8 for the Congress, 4-8 for the NPP and 4-8 for the NPF.
