Ranchi: The health condition of jailed former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has deteriorated further after which the doctors have stopped him from eating any protein rich food including fish.

The Doctors on Wednesday said that Lalu Yadav had been advised to take a balance diet but he did not take their instructions seriously and on a daily basis he was having food of his choice which has now started showing its impact on his health and kidney.

part from fish he has been barred from all kinds of other non vegetarian food with the doctors warning him that if consumption of protein rich food is not stopped then his kidneys might get permanently damaged.

A team of seven senior doctors of RIMS who are looking after his health in the hospital said that there are indications of his kidney functioning being hampered as creatinine level has slightly increased from 3.5 to 4.1.

Dr Vidyapati who is supervising his treatment said that currently the kidney problem of Lalu Yadav is in the fourth stage however there is no need for a dialysis. He said that his BP and sugar level are normal.

The doctors said that after a week again his kidney tests will be performed and if the present medicines fail to have an impact new medicines will be given and if needed he will be referred to AIIMS New Delhi. Further he has been strictly advised to be on a balanced diet.
