Srinagar/UNI: Parts of the Kashmir Valley experienced rainfall Tuesday, resulting in a slight drop in temperature and disrupting normal life.
The Meteorological Department forecasted rain and thundershowers at many places in the Kashmir region especially in parts of north and south Kashmir.
Except most places in the Kashmir region, rain and thundershowers were expected in Jammu region during the next five days, it said.
There are higher chances of hailstorm and gusty winds at some places. The day temperatures will drop by 2-14 degrees Celsius in the coming days, the MeT office said.
Srinagar and its adjoining areas lashed by rains on Tuesday afternoon.
The maximum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 28.1 degrees Celsius, which was seven degrees celsius above normal.
Pahalgam had a maximum of 24.6 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg saw 18.4 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
