How can he make me PM? Mayawati's attack on Akhilesh Yadav continues
Lucknow/UNI: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati continued to hit out at Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav for the second day on Friday claiming his dream of returning as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister will never be fulfilled.
She also advised the SP chief to stop making tall claims and try to take credit in the least way possible of making her the PM of the country.
In a series of tweets, Mayawati said: "When the SP chief could not fulfill his dream of becoming CM even after taking full vote of Muslim and Yadav community in UP and forming alliance with many parties, then how can he fulfill the dream of becoming PM of others?"
As the war between "Bua and Babua", as they are popularly called in Uttar Pradesh, continued, the veteran Dalit leader and four-time former Chief Minister slammed Akhilesh for even suggesting that had she continued with the alliance stitched once between her BSP and the Samajwadi's would have fulfilled her hopes of becoming Prime Minister.
"In the last Lok Sabha elections, even after the BSP stitched an alliance with him (Akhilesh), he himself could only win 5 seats.
"So then how could they make me the PM. He should stop making such childish statements," she said.
She said: "Whether I should become CM and PM in future or not, I can never become the President of the country in the interests of our weaker and neglected sections. Therefore, now the dream of becoming the CM of SP in UP can never be fulfilled".
Her remark came following Akhilesh Yadav's comment on Thursday suggesting that the BJP could make her the President.
