Sidhu Moosewala killing: Bhagwant Mann orders probe into Punjab singer's security curtail
Chandigarh/IBNS: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ordered a probe into the decision to curtail popular singer-Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala's security in response to a letter sent by the father of the 28-year-old singing sensation who was killed Sunday, media reports said.
Balkaur Singh, Moosewala's father, wrote a letter seeking an investigation into his son's death by central agencies, Central Bureau of Investigation and National Investigation Agency.
Mann has said the culprits won't be spared and a sitting High Court judge will investigate the case.
A day after the Punjab government withdrew the security of 400 VIPs including Moosewala, the popular singer was shot to death while he was travelling in a car along with his friends.
Severely-injured Moosewala and his friends were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Singh was following Moosewala in a car with two armed personnel when the unknown assailants rained bullets at the 28-year-old singer.
Meanwhile, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has claimed responsibility for the murder of Moosewala.
The incident has triggered sharp responses from the opposition Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is new to power.
