Pakistan is exporting terrorism to Jammu and Kashmir: LG Sinha
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that Pakistan is exporting terrorism to the UT which is threatening our social harmony.
He said in J&K we are witnessing another kind of pollution-terrorism, exported by our neighboring country Pakistan and it is threatening our social harmony.
“Terrorists are targeting innocent men, women and even children. Society must speak up now, communities must come together as one entity to fight this menace”, the Lt Governor said while addressing a gathering at SKICC in Srinagar today.
“Terrorism has no place in our society. I call upon every citizen to isolate terror elements, expose their brutality. It is the fundamental duty of every citizen towards the nation to protect and promote peace”, the Lt Governor observed.
“Our police and security forces are fighting terror menace with restraint and fairness and saving innocent lives. Our forces will keep responding effectively and firmly resolved to finish destructive threat of terrorism”, the LG said.
He said that militants are resorting to attacks on innocent civilians is the result of sheer desperation to provoke security forces.
“The attack on innocent civilians in Kashmir is the result of sheer desperation to provoke security forces so that they will do something in desperation”, Lt Governor said while addressing a gathering here.
He said the militants are not even sparing girls and women now. It is their desperation, that they are resorting to such killings to provoke security forces so that they will do something similar in desperation,” he said.
He said that he wants to assure the people of Jammu and Kashmir that the administration would not take action against any innocent person.
“It has been the policy of J&K administration that our security forces should not take action against any innocent person,” he said.
Sinha said terror is being used as a tool against innocent civilians and administration and forces would do their work with promptness.
On the occasion, the Lt Governor also urged the people of J&K to isolate terror elements to promote peace.
