Indian govt sends 3000 metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan
New Delhi: The Indian government has sent the next shipment of 3000 metric tonnes of wheat to crisis-hit Afghanistan, officials confirmed on Sunday.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted: " India sent the next shipment of 3000 MTs of wheat today to Afghanistan."

Bagchi said: "As on date, India has successfully completed shipment of 33,500 MTs of wheat to Afghanistan in partnership with WFP."
Afghanistan was rocked by a massive earthquake in recent times which left 1000 people dead.
India sent assistance to Afghanistan to tackle the situation.
India dispatched 27 tons of emergency relief assistance in two flights for the people of Afghanistan.
"The relief assistance consists of essential items including family ridge tents, sleeping bags, blankets, sleeping mats, etc.The relief consignment will be handed over to the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) in Kabul," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.
