'My status too low for him': Yashwant Sinha on 'unreachable' Nitish Kumar
Patna/IBNS: Oppositions' candidate for Presidential polls, Yashwant Sinha, on Friday said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is "unreachable" for him.
During a visit to Patna on Friday, Sinha told reporters he tried to speak with Kumar several times, but the Bihar Chief Minister did not return any of his calls.
"I have been calling leaders across the country seeking support for the presidential election. I dialled the Bihar Chief Minister repeatedly, sent messages, but it seems my status is too low that he (Mr Kumar) considers speaking with me inappropriate. So no, I haven't spoken with him," Sinha told reporters.

ये वही बिहार है, जिसने बुद्ध और बापू दोनों को राह दिखाई और आज़ादी के बाद से बिहार लोकतंत्र की मजबूती का मार्ग प्रशस्त करता रहा है।

According to reports, Kumar has already met with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)'s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, leaving no doubt about who he will support, also considering the BJP is Kumar's Janata Dal (United) alliance partner in Bihar.
Sinha also said: "But had I spoken with him, I would have told him the same thing I said to everyone today, that I believe Nitish ji should think about Bihar. If a candidate is from Bihar, why won't he support? I don't understand. The day Draupadi Murmu's name was announced, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made it clear he would support her."
With the growing support and the numbers that NDA has, Murmu seems to be ahead in the race and is set to become the first tribal woman to be the President if elected in the polls on July 18.
