Sri Lankan PM Dinesh Gunawardena thanks India for extending humanitarian assistance

Colombo: Sri Lankan PM Dinesh Gunawardena has thanked neighbour India for extending generous humanitarian assistance to his country amid the crisis.

Indian PM Narendra Modi last week sent a congratulatory letter to the new PM of Sri Lanka.

Modi assured him India will continue to support the people of Sri Lanka.
